Making Signs And Flyers For Your Missing Pet Search

Many people hesitate to create signage and flyers for their lost pets. Perhaps you aren't sure how to make them or don't have a printer but they are one of the most important things to do right away. Here are some of the basics that you need to know to get started with your missing pet search effort.

* Create an online flyer using some of the sites below or even just a basic Word document

* Call your nearest copy shop, local printer, Staples, etc., to get their email address so you can send them the file to be printed out

* Once you've made a full page flyer, you can shrink that image down to create a four-per-page version for mini flyers. Keep these with you and hand them out to everyone you see while posting the large ones.

* They DO NOT have to be in color. Yes, color attracts more attention but if cost is an issue we would rather see 300 black and white fliers around your community instead of just20 color ones. Do print a few color copies for the local animal shelters, vets offices, to attach to your vehicle, etc.

*Plan to saturate the area in a two mile radius from where your pet was lost. You will need at least 100 full page flyers AND a several hundred of the smaller ones to hand to each neighbor, home, etc.
